My first encounter with a ginkgo tree was at Osaka Castle, a hidden gem rich in history. Although the current structure isn’t the original and has been rebuilt several times, it remains one of the most stunning buildings in Japan.
The surrounding park and moat make the area even more beautiful, especially during the cherry blossom and fall seasons. If you enjoy history, this place should definitely be on your list.

Alternatively, I can take the Tanimachi 4-chome Station on the Tanimachi Line, which is even closer. Here’s how I get to Osaka Castle from my hotel, which might help you plan your visit.Getting to Osaka Castle

Osaka Castle's Entrance
When I arrived at the entrance, I was amazed by the grand size of Osaka Castle. The towering stone walls made me feel tiny, and the surrounding garden was breathtaking, especially with the vibrant red and yellow colors of the maple and ginkgo trees. So beautiful!
